Eur Ing Mick Greenhough – brief CV

·       Student apprentice at Hawker Aircraft on the Hunter, Harrier and Post Apprentice on the supersonic Harrier hydraulics.

·       Scientific Instrument Research Association on oilfield equipment.

·       In Paris working on Wellhead Logging.

·       At the Ministry of Defence (R.A.R.D.E.) as a professionally qualified Mechanical Engineer and where I received membership of the European wide (includes the EU) Europa Ingenieur for my work there. Equivalent Military rank on leaving MoD, Lt Colonel.  Seconded to Rheinmetal Dusseldorf. Some of my designs of value were patented and I had to sell the patents to the MoD. I received a Canadian Silver Dollar for one and gold Sovereign for another.

·       Regular contributor to Lloyds Register Marine Division

·       Experienced in Underwater Engineering with a Commercial Divers certificate.

·       Worked with Queen Mary’s University of London on Tidal Flow Power as a consultant engineer until the lead professor retired.

·       European Ingenieur (EUR ING) is an international professional qualification and title for highly qualified engineers used in over 32 European countries.[1] Contemporary EUR ING engineers are degree-qualified and have gained the highest level of professional competencies through training and monitored professional practice experience. EUR ING engineers are characterised by their ability to develop appropriate solutions to engineering problems, using new or existing technologies, through innovation, research, creativity and change.[2] They might develop and apply new technologies, promote advanced designs and design methods, introduce new and more efficient production techniques, marketing and construction concepts, pioneer new engineering services and management methods.

·       The title is pre-nominal, i.e. it is placed before, rather than after, the name as in the case of a post-nominal title such as that for academic degrees (however, in some European countries, academic degrees are also pre-nominal). It is displayed in uppercase with no punctuation (EUR ING)
